Located in Torrington, Connecticut, A Joyous Moment provides area residents with the ability to create lasting, lifelong memories through the company's comprehensive photography, videography and photo booth business. We are a husband and wife team that was inspired to start our own wedding photography business after a somewhat stressful wedding experience of our own. Having paid for our wedding ourselves, we completely understand what a huge expense a wedding can be, and want your investment in your wedding photos to be a worthwhile sacrifice that you will look back on happily for years to come. We strive to partner with you before, during and after, to make the wedding planning process as smooth as possible, and desire to provide you with photos you’ll love to have hanging on your walls for years to come. We also approach each wedding in an unobtrusive manner, because, having been in your shoes, we know how important it is that you enjoy your day, and that you not feel stressed by the presence of the camera, but rather, that when you receive your photos, look back at them fondly recalling each and every one of your memories that we’ve encapsulated for you. ABOUT DIANA AND JAVIER
Something that has fascinated me about photography ever since I first fell in love with it as a little girl is the ability to hold on to a moment in time, frozen forever, with all of its details still intact. My love for photography started at a young age, and was something that I felt chose me, and captivated my interest from as young as seven, taking photos on a field trip of everything that caught my eye while riding the Essex Steamboat and train for the very first time. I was so grateful for those photos, because being a visual person, words couldn't do any justice to the beauty of the river or the feeling of that train ride, but my photos did. They froze time, so that I was able to share my experience with my family after returning home, and I was able to make them feel as if they were there too. This is where my love for photography began. I had an opportunity to work as a photographer in a studio throughout college, and enjoyed the art of it, being able to capture a special moment for a family, or bringing a shy child out of their shell in order to get their true giggle to shine through in the photos we took. I never imagined that all these years later I would have the opportunity to photograph one of the most important days in the lives of so many wonderful couples as they stood before their family, and committed to sharing their love and lives until death do them part. I know what it feels like to be the bride, and know how important it is that you feel comfortable with your wedding photographers, something we specialize in helping you achieve. We want to be an ally for you both on your wedding day, helping the day flow smoothly while at the same time photographing all the important moments of your day. My background in photography helps me strive to earn your trust, and make you feel comfortable, and my husband has an amazing ability to look for your uninhibited moments and capturing them without you even noticing or having to feel the need to force a fake smile for the camera. Having been the groom he can understand and respect that you desire to enjoy your day, without feeling the constant presence of a camera, and he's sensitive to that, always aiming to get the shot without distraction or pressures from the lens in any way. We want to get to know you, know your love story and capture your happiness.
