Marissa and Joe are such a sweet, truly genuine couple that I loved having an opportunity to get to know from the moment I first spoke with Joe on the phone. Joe shared the sweet way he proposed to then girlfriend, Marissa, a local librarian, while she was at work, in the middle of story time with her little patrons. On that day he asked for her hand, and they began their journey towards the planning of their special day, which included finding someone to photograph and video their wedding day, which is how we met. I have always loved getting to know the love story of each and every couple we work with, because they are usually as unique as fingerprints, and these two did not fall short. One of the beautiful things about what we do is getting to be an extension of your family for the day, joining in the joy of your wedding, something we were definitely able to do with Joe and Marissa. We were able to get to know them, as well as their puppy Cubby, during their engagement session, and I was happy to see that Cubby was able to start the festivities of the day with us as Marissa prepared to go to the ceremony. Joe had a sweet surprise prepared for Marissa, he left a note to his beloved with her mom, as well as a complete picnic spread. They had a beautiful church ceremony at Saint Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck, Connecticut, followed by lovely Fall-themed reception at The Country House in East Haven, Connecticut. We absolutely loved being a part of your day and hope you love your sneak peek!
